It has become the focus of public concern. College students are very valuable human resources, and they are the future of our nation. Careers,employment,entrepreneurship are the problems which college students are most concerned about, because these are closely related with their talent and development. Consequently, carrying out career education, helping and guiding students to comprehensively plan their career, establishing a correct professional ideal, comprehensively improving professionali, and training high-quality talent which meet the social needs, he become an important task faced by colleges and universities.However, college students’career education of our country is at an early stage, and a late start compared to developed country. It also has many insufficiencies, mainly as follows: limited career education concept, lacking systematic and continuous education system, single content and form of education, unsound setup of educational institutions, the low degree of specialization of teachers, lacking entrepreneurship education and professional assesent tools. Therefore, studying career education of college student is necessary, and it is of great theoretical and practical significance. This paper based on the existing research is comprehensively using the methods of literature analysis, comparative analysis and theoretical analysis to carry on the thorough discussion about career education of college students.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is a theoretical interpretation related to the concept of college students’career education, and an introduction of the rise and development about it. The second part comprehensively elaborates the meaning of college students’career education, highlighting the important role for our country, society, individuals and colleges or universities. The third part mainly expounds the problems of college students’career education, and finds out the reason for these problems. In connection with these problems, and drawing on the foreign mature theory and experience, the last part combining our reality puts forward the ideas about college students’career education, and thorough discussion on the goals, principles, ways of it.
