The music and dance of minority groups not only fills people’s pursuit of beauty, but also has bloomed the development of minority areas. Firstly, on the research level, the study of minority groups’ music and dance will spread the words of research in Ethnology or Anthropology. Although there are many outstanding achievements in the ethic arts, all of them focus on forms, histories and characteristics of the arts. Therefore, such energetic study of music and dance will refresh the field of ethnic culture. Secondly, the development of resources of minorities’ music and dance will be a good protector of minority culture. Thirdly, it will broaden the scope of research in cultural industries. It is known that there are fewer achievements of music and dance resources in the field of cultural industries, then, the subject of this thesis will make a little of contribution in the study of cultural industries.Lijiang, which is the model city of cultural industries, has done a great deal of succesul work in touri. Just because of that, Naxi’s music and dance he got the chance to develop. In my point of view, the development of Naxi’s music and dance resources will improve the economic conditions, most importantly, it will offer some active effects for the sustainable development of Lijiang cultural industries. This thesis analyzes the situation of Lijiang culture industries, makes analysis of the reasons why the artistic brands he succeeded and why the other resources he chances to develop further, and concludes with several solutions.This paper is composed of six chapters:Chapter 1 explains the aim and topic of this paper and combs related research achievements.Chapter 2 introduces the outline of Lijiang and discusses the features of cultural industries in Lijiang.Chapter 3 briefly describes the culture of Naxi and classifies the resources of Naxi’s music and dance.Chapter 4 deeply analyzes the reason why the three brands succeeded and why such natural music and dance resources didn’t develop.Chapter 5 discusses the necessity to exploit the undeveloped resources and gives advices how to develop it rationally.Chapter 6 makes a summary of the whole paper.
