And he tried to hunt for the best substantial practice foundations for the universality of liberali, but his work never got it.Then, the views of John Gray he altered. Now he thinks that as the political thoery of modernity, liberali is ill-equipped to address dilemmas of the postmodern period. So it is, the search for foundations for liberal practice is both futile and unnecessary, in that liberal regimes are far form universally mandatory or desirable, and are merely one segment of a range institutions that may be legitimate in the late modern, or early postmodern world. John Gray claims that liberali is a variation on the Enlightenment project and their destiny he been entwined. But the Enlightenment project is now a dead letter, if that is so, the ruin of the Enlightenment project inevitably carries with it that of liberali.Nowadays in the postwestern, if we want to salvage and renewal what remains of value in liberal thought and practice, liberal cultures and liberal states must renounce any claims to universal authority, and learn to live in harmony with other, non-liberal .cultures and polities. So, finding institutions which can harbour cultures diversity in peace, is the pluralist challenge to postliberal thought. And the task of postliberal political thought is to seek terms of peaceful coexistence among different cultural forms.
